Morning Skate: So Much Going On

By Finesse

So much to talk about this morning.

The Houston Texans lost to the Philadelphia Eagles, but all the important fantasy football guys had good games so no one cares about the result.

Qatar was awarded the 2022 World Cup games over the United States.  Remember this day.  It's the last time you will hear about the 2022 World Cup until the 2022 World Cup.

LeBron James returned to Cleveland and proceeded to obliterate the Cavs.  Bad things always seem to happen to Cleveland.  In other words, Cleveland always seems to happen to Cleveland.

The Steelers are denying a report that Big Ben's foot is broken.  Ed Bouchette remains firm that the foot is, indeed, broken.  We remain firm that Big Foot will spend Monday morning bathing in the "toughness" adulation he will receive from the NBC broadcast on Sunday night.

Ted Leonsis opens an article saying that he doesn't care about the Forbes rankings of franchise values, but then proceeds to write an entire article about why those rankings are wrong.  Ted being Ted.

Sidney Crosby had a hat trick in the Pens 3-2 win over the Atlanta Thrashers.  Larry Brooks and John Tortorella were seen weeping outside the NHL's Manhattan headquarters.

And finally, check out this hilarious picture of the Caps.
