The PPG's Dejan Kovacevic broke the news today that former National League Cy Young Award winner and free agent Brandon Webb is considering signing with the Pirates, an organization now pushing the boundaries of believability with a record 18 consecutive losing seasons. Webb is looking to make a comeback after shoulder surgery.
"The Pirates are an organization that Brandon and I have a lot of respect for, especially for the GM," agent Jonathan Maurer said, referring to general manager Neal Huntington.
"I was extremely intoxicated when I made that statement," Maurer will say later today. "I was also under duress, and I take a lot of pills. I don't even know what they were."
